Did some shop stuff that I should have done a while ago just never go around to it. On my way to pick up wood today for the rudder/elevator stands I stopped off at Chad Jensen's (Friend and RV7 Builder). I gave back the directors cut of Top Gun and his elevator stands I borrowed until mine were built. He gave me his wing stands to have in the eventuality that I ever have enough money to get wings. After his house went to Menards to get the wood and then build the stands.

Chad Jensen and I installed the wing stands. We took turns drilling into the concrete. It took us better part of the evening. I sure do appeciate having a resource and a friend such as Chad around! Thanks Chad for all your help!




12/06/2007 - Needed to build one more tank stand. Already had one from Chad Jensen. About to start the sealing of the ribs so one stand just doesn't cut it anymore. I did a quick cut of the wood, assembled it and let Mitch spray paint it black. No need to paint it other than to show him proper technique as he may get quite a few models from Santa this Christmas (wink). I cut the strips of carpet and then he used the electric brad nailer to nail the carpet to the wood.
